Description
HENSOLDT South Africa, in partnership with South African Women in Defence is awarding bursaries to female students from a previously disadvantaged background with the interest to pursue studies in electronic and computer engineering.
All bursaries awarded will be for full-time study at an accredited South African university towards a degree. These will, therefore, be for BEng/BSc Electronic Engineering and BSc Computer Science qualifications.
Applicants must
- Meet the standard for entry in your chosen field at the Institute
- Have a valid SA ID document;
- Be enrolled or planning to enrol at a South African university for 2021;
- Have enrolled or planning to enrol at a South African university for the following year;
- Be enrolling for a BEng/BSc Electronic Engineering/Computer Engineering or BSc Computer Science full-time at an accredited tertiary Institute.

For the application
The candidate must:
- Meet the standard for entry in your chosen field at the Institute
- Provide complete academic records (Latest university or school results)
- Be in possession of a National Senior Certificate (or equivalent)
- Agree to undergo a medical exam/health declaration and interview
- Be accepted for admission at a recognised higher education institution (full time studies)
- Motivational Letter (affidavit to certify content)
- Proof of enrolment/acceptance at a tertiary study institution.
- Applicants currently studying at a higher education institution must have passed all registered subjects for the current year of study.
Bursary
Successful candidates will have the following covered by the HENSOLDT female engineer bursary programme:
- Full cost of tuition at selected University
- All required books
- Accommodation costs
- A monthly allowance
