IF Recorders

GIF3000B

The IF Recorder is a sub-system to support the recording and playback of Intermediate Frequency signals derived from receiving equipment. This is extremely valuable where real-time signal analysis is difficult and offline playback is available for re-analysis.

In this product, playback is provided at the recorded bandwidth. Remote control via a defined man-machine interface is supported. A RAID disk array is used, providing flexible storage capacities and one removable disk for easy data transfer.
The system uses a single ADC/DAC card as the data input / output processor, and runs on a Microsoft Windows based ruggedised host processor. Recordings are automatically named and stored on hard disk.

A playback channel is available on the unit itself and is activated using playback software via the LAN. Recordings can be selected for playback to be re-recorded or for Data Decoding purposes.

GIF3000B IF Recorder

Applications of the GIF3000B include:

  • IF data recording with configuration control
  • Playback of IF data for further analysis
  • Demodulation
  • Data decoding
  • Spectrum analysis
  • Signal classification

Key features:

  • Record digital SSI Input (LVDS)
  • Real-time time data recording and simultaneous playback
  • Frequency domain display of recording and playback data
  • Voice Tagging - for voice annotation, instructions or descriptions
  • Data Marking - for marking important or interesting portions of the data during recording or playback
  • Loop playback, using Data Marking, for repeated analysis of a recorded segment
  • Selected segment saving, using Data Marking, for saving subsections of a recording
  • Timeline display for easy location of a time of interest
  • Remote control by client-server network architecture
  • Intelligent Flow Systems IFS ready for easy integration with MRCM IFS architecture
