Grintek Ewation has established itself as an Electronic Warfare systems house manufacturing state-of-the-art products and systems. It prides itself in its leading edge range of wide band receivers and direction finders in both HF and V/UHF. GEW's product suite extends further to also include antennas and recorders. The product suite is manufactured under the MRCM trademark. www.mrcm.net
MRWA8000
Meeting the challenge of the modern H/V/UHF signals scenario, the MRCM MRR8000 and MRWA8000 utilises the latest technology to achieve outstanding analysis results. High dynamic range analogue circuitry, Digital Signal Processing, cutting-edge algorithms and sophisticated man-machine interface graphics combine in a cost-effective solution to modern ESM signal analysis requirements.
In today's signal environment, unknown or agile signals make up a large portion of the traffic. The MRR8000 range of wide band receiver / recorders can record full bandwidth time domain data, to hard disk arrays. The integrated RF front-end and the interface to a wide band DF give the MRR8000 and MRWA additional parameters for analysis and demodulation of low probability of intercept (LPI) signals, e.g. frequency hoppers.
The direction of arrival data from the DF is time-synchronised with the single channel time domain recording of the MRR8000 in order to improve identification, analysis, and tracking functions for frequency hoppers. This combined data is stored on hard disk in a format suitable for off-line or remote analysis. The amount of data is limited only by the size of hard disk.
For wide band and narrow band signal analysis, as well as demodulation, a set of "tabbed" MMI's (Man machine interfaces) are provided. The off-line analyser utilises the recorded files for demodulation or re-recording of the files, e.g. narrow band baseband or demodulated audio. An optional database can be integrated to manage the creation and control of the files recorded and analysed by different MRWA8000 engines.
The following typical functions are provided on the MMI:
- Recording and playback
- Editing, e.g. loop-back functions
- Spectral analysis
- Vector analysis
- Narrow band tuning and demodulation
